What others had to say

Thank you so much for the most enjoyable day! The day was organised so well, we went at a nice slow pace which gave us time to spend quality time with the animals. The group was nice and small so we didnt have to contend with a hoard of peole just to get a glimspe at an animal in the distance. We loved meeting Lucky the Elephant and her two friends, and also baby Chook-so cute! The mother gibbon was absolutly gorgeous and her baby-well what can I say..beautiful! It was great too that Barb was so knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Ot was the most relaxing and exciting day all at once. Thanks so much for this experience

I went on a trip to Phnom Tamao with the Bettlenut tours. It was a great day out the ride up there was completely different as you are in the back of a jeep which makes change from hot loud buses and tuk tuks. From the back of the jeep you get to see the scenary and feel the fresh (!) air. When we got up there Barb was a great tour guide as she had lots of information about the animals and what you can feed the otters which is awesome fun, but the best part of the day and something you would not experience if you went there on your own is going to see the tigers close up. The day is great fun and should be done even if you are made to chew on the disgusting bettle nut!!! Thanks for that Barb!!!

This is not an ordinary tour and Phnom Tamao is not an ordinary zoo! Beetlenut Tours means that you actually MEET the elephants, tigers, monkeys and otters (and all the rest) instead of just looking at them from behind a fence 100m away. We learnt how to say hello to a tiger, we played with the elephants, we got flashed by a gibbon, a monkey stole my friend's hat, we had a great lunch (including a special treat)...all in all it was definitely the best tour I've ever been on. This tour could only exist in Cambodia!"

We would just like to say a huge thank you to Barb and Ash for taking us on the best tour we have experienced since we started travelling. It was spot on and I hope the feedback will encourage others to join in the fun.
We have never had any real close encounters with wild animals before and this trip allowed an intimate group of us to get up close with elephants at play and painting pictures, tigers at feeding time and gibbons that like to hold hands (or steal sunglasses!) to name just a few. After lunch we found out where the name of the tour originated - but I don't want to spoil it so lets just say we all turned a bit red!
The tour is worth every penny and more. I recommend it to anyone passing through the city.
Thanks again guys and love to Miss Chook!
